Medical Board of the Institute of Oncology
Medical Board of the Institute of Oncology is a collegiate body of experts that designs, discusses, and directs medical activities of the Institute.
The Board takes decisions in compliance with the mandates laid down in the Statute of the Institute and with economic potential of the Institute. The Board is presided over by medical director and consists of the heads of the wards of surgical oncology, radiotherapy, medical oncology and diagnostics.
Members of the Medical Board of the Institute of Oncology are:- Prof. Janez Žgajnar, MD, PhD, Medical Director
- Prof. Marko Hočevar, MD, PhD, Head of the Division of Surgical Oncology
- Prof. Primož Strojan, MD, PhD, Head of the Division of Radiotherapy
- Assist.Prof. Barbara Jezeršek-Novaković, MD, PhD, Head of the Division of Medical Oncology
- Assist.Prof. Živa Pohar Marinšek, MD, PhD, Head of the Division of Diagnostics
When invited, director general, assistant medical director for research and education, and assistant medical director for nursing – head nurse may attend the Board Meeting.
