Education Outline
At the Institute of Oncology, a national comprehensive cancer center, educational activities go hand in hand with and are inseparably related to medical activities.
Giving lectures and practicums at all levels of education as well as at postgraduate and residency programs, and mentorship for trainees, residents and junior research fellows are a part of regular duties of the Institute’s staff.
The Institute houses the Chair of Oncology and Radiotherapy of the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana; the teachers from the Institute and the Institute’s associates participate in the educational programs of other faculties, colleges, secondary schools and other institutions.
The educational activities include also the organization of seminars, courses and various training programs intended for the education of all profiles of health care professionals.
