Principal investigator at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana: Tanja Marinko, PhD and Gordana Lokajner,  BSc

We are participating in the INTERREG Central Europe project INTENT to obtain the European accreditation in the field of oncology. There are nine partners participating in this project, including oncology centers and oncology patient associations. 

The aim of the project is to develop new strategies in patient oriented clinical pathways and 

to develop comparable tools and methods for implementing the approach which will focus on holistic patient care and thus provide higher quality and safety of patient care.

The results of the project will help oncology centers to develop new strategies, approaches and benchmarking to determine which improvements need to be introduced.

Successful completion of the project will be the basis for obtaining European oncology accreditation awarded by the reputable Organization of European Cancer Institutes (OECI), whose member is also the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana.
