Cancer registry

Cancer registries are services for the systematic collection, storage, analysis, interpretation and publication of data on cancer patients, their disease and their treatment. The Slovenian Cancer Registry collects data on cancer patients throughout the country, while the work of the Hospital Cancer Registry of the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana focuses on the patients of this institution. The clinical registries monitor an extended set of data on diagnosis and treatment for the most common cancers and produce indicators for evaluating the quality of care for those cancer patients in Slovenia.

The basic cancer burden indicators for Slovenia can be accessed via the website SLORA

A summary of the burden of cancer in Slovenia is available in the brief overview Cancer in Slovenia.
