Assist. Gašper Tonin is a resident in internal medicine, a terminologist, and a researcher at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana. His research focuses on clinical nutrition, body composition, metabolism, diabetes, oncology, and skeletal muscle biology. His research covers clinical nutrition, the use of ultrasound, methods for assessing body composition, and various metabolic and nutritional disorders. He holds an ESPEN European diploma in clinical nutrition and a Slovenian license in clinical sports nutrition. He regularly lectures at domestic and international conferences and also teaches clinical nutrition at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Ljubljana. He serves as secretary of the Slovenian Association for Clinical Nutrition, as a language consultant for the Slovenian Medical Dictionary, and as a member of the editorial board of the Slovenian Medical Chamber’s journal, Isis. In addition to his professional work in medicine, he is also active in the fields of medical terminology, professional language, and scientific communication.
