E²-RADIatE – OligoCare: A pragmatic observational cohort study to evaluate radical radiotherapy for oligo-metastatic cancer patients

Assessing the impact of individual factors on the course and success of treatment and improving standard treatment procedures.

In this study, data will be collected on different forms of treatment, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery, as well as on the course of the disease and symptoms that may occur during treatment. In this way, we aim to better understand how individual factors influence the course and success of treatment and how new radiotherapy technologies are introduced into clinical practice.

Purpose of the study

To monitor radiotherapy treatment as part of the comprehensive management of patients with cancer.

To improve standard treatment procedures and contribute to the development of more modern, effective approaches tailored to patients’ needs.

Study procedure

Participation in the study is free of charge and does not affect the course of usual treatment. No additional examinations are required, and participants do not receive any financial compensation.

Before the start of radiotherapy and at follow-up visits after radiotherapy, the research staff will ask participants to complete questionnaires. These questionnaires relate to everyday life, mobility, independence in self-care, daily activities, pain, well-being, sexuality and treatment-related symptoms.

Who can take part?

Persons aged 18 years or older with non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer or colorectal cancer.

Participation in the study is entirely voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time without any consequences. Your identity will remain anonymous, and participation in the study does not pose any risk to your health.
